Collaborative divorce - Collaborative Divorce is a settlement process focused on helping families find their way to a respectful resolution. Even though a marriage may be ending, relationships and obligations often continue, especially when children are involved. A collaborative divorce allows spouses to formulate agreements that focus on their most important individual and mutual goals. It also aims to help all family members learn how to move forward in a positive way and focus on the future, rather than dwelling on arguments and disputes of the past. Mary Beth helps parents and children prepare for post-divorce life with counseling and parenting plans designed specifically for each family’s unique requirements and expectations. In this way parents may be better equipped to protect their children from the damaging effects of a highly contentious divorce while preserving mutual respect for each other as parents.
Parent Facilitation – When coparenting couples have trouble getting along, children suffer. Courts often order couples to attend Parent Facilitation so they can learn better ways of communicating and resolving conflict. That keeps children out of the middle where harm occurs. Mary Beth has extensive experience as a parent educator and works as a court ordered Parent Facilitator for many families in Parker, Hood, Wise and Tarrant Counties.
Anger Management - Mary Beth takes an individual approach to anger management. She helps clients discover anger triggers that are unique to each individual with the goal of uncovering healthy strategies for handling anger in productive ways.
DWI Counseling – In counseling sessions, Mary Beth will provide you with a safe and confidential space that will help you explore the underlying causes of your alcohol use, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward achieving and maintaining your sobriety.
